+ YOUR MOST INFLUENTIAL MENTOR

My dad was my biggest influence because he was a hard worker and a good family man. I have always looked up to him, but I was really struck when I went to his retirement party several years ago. He managed a team at his company and it was amazing to see all of the admiration that everyone genuinely had for him. He was able to maintain a good work-life balance and he was always there when I needed him.

+ YOUR FAVORITE BOOK

Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People is a great book on relationship building and it definitely applies to the business world.

+ YOUR PROFESSION AND WHY YOU CHOSE IT

I had a sales background prior to becoming a recruiter, and I wanted to utilize my sales experience in a more sophisticated setting. I liked the idea of finding the right match for both the client and the candidate. I have found the profession to be intellectually stimulating, challenging and rewarding.

+ YOUR ADVICE FOR CHOOSING A CAREER

I would advise people to choose a career that they are excited about. If you are passionate about your job, usually success will follow.
